The Ministry of Fisheries tasked us with creating an animated video to educate fishermen on sustainable grouper fishing practices, aiming to preserve the species.
The main statistics that was important to be shown visually was on MPAs (Marine protected areas). Since we had to condense it into the 1-minute video, we had to ensure that the information was easily understandable for the audience. With that in mind, we went with simple visuals to highlight the MPA locations making sure it wasn't overwhelming to process within a short period of time.
Our mood board for the video was a mix of both 2D and 3D, with a clean, minimal palette. Our vision for the final video was to be calming, dreamy and beautiful, with the most vibrant character in the video being the red snappers. The secondary assets were fit into hues of blue in a hand painted style, staying true to the colours of our waters.
